Convert a video to MP3 on iPhone

AudioTools reads the soundtrack from MP4, MOV, AVI, or MKV and exports MP3 or another audio format. It is an on-device converter, not a website that receives your file.

Steps

  1. Open AudioTools on an iPhone or iPad with iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 or later.
  2. Import the video from Files, or send it from a browser on the same Wi-Fi. After the transfer, conversion still happens on the phone.
  3. Extract the audio and choose MP3. M4A, AAC, Ogg + Opus, and MP4 are also available. WAV and FLAC require Pro.
  4. Trim the clip if you want, then set speed between 0.2x and 2x or change the volume.
  5. Convert. The free version processes one file at a time.

Limits

There are no ads and no subscription. The free version allows 3 full conversions a day, up to 192 kbps, kept for 7 days. Pro is a one-time $1.99 purchase: unlimited conversions, up to 320 kbps, WAV and FLAC, and batch conversion.

For a call ringtone, continue with making a ringtone.
