Do I have to add the playlist on iPhone first?
No. You can add an M3U link directly on Apple TV. You can also add it on iPhone first, then turn on iCloud sync so the source appears on the TV.
Channo on Apple TV plays your own M3U or Xtream source. Use the Siri Remote to browse, search and open the guide. The TV app does not include channels either.
When the source declares catch-up, the current programme can start from the beginning. Catch-up uses the source’s own address. Channo does not record on Apple TV.
Offline downloads, Picture in Picture and CarPlay belong to iPhone and iPad. Apple TV is for the large screen. Usage and crash reporting can be turned off on the TV Pro page. Phone setup is in M3U setup and the setup guide.
